EA Recruitment have been instructed by our client, a specialist lettings and property maintenance company based in North London to recruit a Maintenance Controller to join their team. The responsibility of the Maintenance Controller involves the general management of the Maintenance Operatives, overseeing the allocation of maintenance jobs, and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the required standard and within a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years working within a Property Maintenance role. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Dealing with incoming reports of maintenance issues
- Liaising with tenants to understand the issues and identify the best way to proceed
- Liaising with contractors (both in house and subcontractors) to organise quotes/works
- Liaising with Landlords and tenants to ensure works are completed efficiently
- Organising key management for access
- Sign off completed works then pass invoices over to the Head of Department to deal with accounts
Experience/skills required:
- 3 years + experience working within a Maintenance Management role
- Strong communication skills
- Organised, ability to multi-task
- Good understanding of general maintenance issues
- IT proficient - experience using Reapit would be beneficial
Package/Benefits:
- £30k - £35k salary pa.
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm
- Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays
