A Transport company based in Stockport is looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team on an 18-month fixed term contract. The company are currently in the process of implementing a new reporting system and need someone to help cover the workload. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build their experience in FP&A to join a large corporate and prestigious business. Private Equity owned large corporate transport company. In 1980, they established themself as the UK’s largest transport operator , with services connecting more than 100 major towns and cities in England, Scotland, and Wales. They work with our partners to deliver a greener, smarter, safer, healthier, and fairer country. Responsibilities: Set up the template for the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. Gather standard assumptions for the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. Provide Q&A support to Management Accountants (MAs) and Managing Directors (MDs). Validate inputs, perform data cleansing, and make necessary adjustments in the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement. Query outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency. Conduct analysis and provide insights based on findings. Create the Board Pack for presentation and reporting. Upload the forecast and validate it within the Profit & Loss (P&L) framework.
