This 12 month contract represents a great opportunity to use your Business Analyst skills on an exciting new project for a leading employer in Peterborough. You will be working with the latest technology in a state of the art modern office. The purpose of the role is to support the Procurement team as they transition to a new ERP system. Peterborough based service organisation operating a Hybrid working model expecting at least 1 day in the office every two weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with procurement leaders and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, operational needs, and system requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end analysis, design, and implementation of procurement platforms, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and solution validation.
- Evaluate existing procurement processes and systems to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement with a meticulous and detail-focused approach.
- Translate complex procurement and operational requirements into precise, well-structured functional specifications for technical teams.
- Support platform configuration, testing (UAT, Dev), data migration, and integration with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, supplier management tools, reporting platforms).
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation roadmaps for procurement system enhancements.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including process flows, requirements, user guides, and training materials.
- Act as subject matter expert on procurement processes such as sourcing, supplier onboarding, contract management, purchase order workflows, and procure-to-pay (P2P).
- Drive stakeholder communication and manage expectations throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure solutions comply with procurement governance frameworks, internal controls, and relevant regulatory or policy requirements.
- The role holder will deliver at pace, see the "big picture", communicate and influence, make effective decisions.
We are looking for a candidate with experience of mapping/documenting processes. You will have a keen eye for detail and ideally have done this whilst supporting a similar transition for a Procurement team.
