The Group Financial Controller will lead the Group's statutory consolidation and reporting processes. This is an initial 6 month contract to ensure accurate and IFRS compliant reporting. I am looking for a candidate with experience of leading the end‑to‑end consolidation process. Large Group based in Cambridgeshire. The role is hybrid and you will be required to be in the office at least 1 day a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end consolidation process for half‑year and year‑end
- Review and validate subsidiary submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and post consolidation journals, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments
- Perform detailed variance analysis on consolidated results and movement
- Prepare Group and UK statutory financial statements
- Ensure full compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements
- Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing audit deliverables and queries
- Ensure strong internal controls over group reporting and consolidation adjustments
- Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation across reporting cycles
Key Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting
- Proven knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
- Exposure to complex group structures
