The Group Financial Controller will lead the Group's statutory consolidation and reporting processes. This is an initial 6 month contract to ensure accurate and IFRS compliant reporting. I am looking for a candidate with experience of leading the end‑to‑end consolidation process. Large Group based in Cambridgeshire. The role is hybrid and you will be required to be in the office at least 1 day a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end consolidation process for half‑year and year‑end
  • Review and validate subsidiary submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare and post consolidation journals, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments
  • Perform detailed variance analysis on consolidated results and movement
  • Prepare Group and UK statutory financial statements
  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, managing audit deliverables and queries
  • Ensure strong internal controls over group reporting and consolidation adjustments
  • Drive process improvements, standardisation, and automation across reporting cycles

Key Skills & Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in group consolidation and statutory reporting
  • Proven knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements
  • Exposure to complex group structures
