Looking to join an innovative, fast-growing technology company as their Electronics Engineer? You will own the electronic product design and compliance for devices deployed in hazardous locations and be the technical owner for the electronic designs, managing engineering and design changes and be integral for the development of new products. You will take the products through ATEX/IECEx/NRTL (UL) certification and radio/EMC compliance (ETSI, FCC), ensuring designs, documentation, and manufacturing records meet IEC/EN/UL 60079-0 and 60079-11, as well as applicable EMC/RED/FCC rules.

Day to day activities include:

  • Leveraging the existing product and certification portfolio as exemplars, to manage the electronics design changes, drive new approvals from concept to listing and maintain them through follow-up inspections and change control.
  • Build and maintain the complete technical file for each product, as well as draft and maintain product documentation using our Documentation Control System - Cognidox.
  • Align designs to IEC/EN/UL 60079-0 and 60079-11 (intrinsic safety), and plan and execute ATEX/IECEx/NRTL (UL) certification activities.
  • Lead FCC/EMC/RED and radio compliance for products, including coordinating test plans, labs, and evidence capture.
  • Support manufacturing and supply chain, create Engineering Change Notes etc.

You will be responsible for the global Compliance of the product as well as the hardware design as the Business expands into new territories.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or closely related). Equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience in electronic hardware design and product compliance.
  • Proven ability to read schematics and review PCB layouts/Gerbers.
  • Track record delivering ATEX/IECEx/NRTL (UL) approvals.
  • FCC/EMC/Radio competence and test planning.
  • MS Office.
