Are you an Accountant looking for a part-time role? We're pleased to be supporting a charity in their search for a Part-time Accountant, working 22.5 hours per week, either over 3 days or more.
As their Accountant, your role will be to ensure the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation by managing accounting functions. This is a varied role with duties including:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Support budgeting and financial planning activities, including variance analysis.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and Gift Aid claims to HMRC.
We're looking for someone with:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience with accounting software (preferably Xero).
- The ability to manage confidential information with discretion and adhere to data protection.
Qualifications & Experience:
- AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or working towards).
- Familiarity with charity or not for profit sector operations ideally.
Location: Near Diss, Norfolk
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (over 3 or more days)
Salary: Negotiable
