Our client, a private equity backed organisation in the early years education sector, is seeking a Management Accountant. This organisation is in an active buy-and-build phase, operating across multiple sites, and undergoing significant investment and transformation.
As Management Accountant, reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts process, support budgeting and forecasting cycles, and deliver insightful analysis.
Key duties include:
- Month End Financial Control
- Prepare all journals and postings for an accurate, right first time month end close
- Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure transactional processes align with reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to strengthen financial controls and streamline close processes
- Budgets & Forecasting
- Support the production of annual budgets and in year reforecasts
- Deliver monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Process Improvement & Governance
- Support the Financial Controller in enhancing controls, documentation and accounting policies
- Contribute to reducing month end reporting timelines
