We are delighted to be partnering with The Extra Care Charitable Trust to recruit a Project Lead (Digital Transformation) on an initial 6 month fixed term contract (FTC), with the possibility of extension.
The role is paying £45,000 per annum and offers hybrid working.
The Extra Care Charitable Trust is a registered charity established in 1988 and based in Coventry.
Extra Care creates communities that offer homes, enjoyable lifestyles and access to care when it is needed.
Their vision is 'Better Lives for Older People' and their mission is to create sustainable communities that provide homes older people want, lifestyles they can enjoy and care if it is needed.
To deliver their vision and mission they essentially do three things
- Develop new villages.
- Operate villages and schemes.
- Support their villages, schemes and their 'extra-care' model through fundraising, advocacy and research.
Their locations provide vibrant communities for people aged over 55, supporting a healthy, active and independent lifestyle in later years.
As a charity, surpluses are reinvested into charitable activities to help provide better services and support.
Project Lead (Digital Transformation) 6 month FTC
- Support the Portfolio Manager in implementing project management standards and best practice across the Digital Transformation Team.
- Help define project scope, goals, deliverables, plans and responsibilities.
- Work with subject matter experts to formulate and communicate solution options.
- Plan, organise and implement digital projects, including coordinating system rollouts and delegating actions.
- Facilitate project meetings and workshops, including lessons-learned sessions, to support effective communication and collaboration.
- Produce clear project reports that demonstrate progress and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, business managers and suppliers.
- Ensure effective project communication and change management throughout delivery.
- Create and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control, including tracking and reporting with business managers.
- Coordinate solution testing and user acceptance testing, helping to resolve issues experienced by business leads and end users.
- Ensure benefits assessments are completed following deployment and at project close.
- Travel to Extra Care locations as required, particularly during implementation, to help embed change.
This post is subject to two satisfactory references, medical clearance and Home Office right to work clearance.
Project Lead (Digital Transformation) 6 month FTC
- Experience of project management, or experience in a similar delivery role.
- A recognised qualification in Project Management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks, such as PRINCE2 and Agile.
- Experience of digital systems, solution testing and organising user acceptance testing.
- Experience of identifying problems, developing solutions and evaluating and mitigating issues and risks.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work across concurrent schedules and tight deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork, networking and communication skills, alongside the ability to work independently and take a lead role when required.
- Competence in project financial management and reporting, and confidence working with data.
- The ability to influence, be appropriately assertive and resolve issues experienced by business leads and end users.
- The ability to communicate effectively with both face-to-face and remote teams.
- A positive, inquisitive and proactive approach, combined with empathy and a collaborative working style.
- Experience of housing management systems or other digital platforms would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Power Platform or comparable digital systems would be advantageous.

- 37.5 hours per week.
- Initial 6 month fixed term contract (FTC).
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
