A growing organisation within the manufacturing and production sector, based in Cannock, is seeking a proactive and commercially focused Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function. Our client is a well established UK manufacturer located in the Cannock area, known for delivering high quality, technically specialised products to a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Producing monthly management accounts, KPI reporting, and variance analysis
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning
- Analysing production costs, stock movements, WIP, and margin performance
- Managing and reviewing standard costing, including updates, variance investigation, and cost build accuracy
- Supporting the development and application of activity based costing (ABC) to improve cost visibility and decision making
- Business partnering with production, engineering, and supply chain teams
- Monitoring cost saving initiatives and identifying operational efficiencies
- Maintaining and improving financial controls across the production cycle
- Enhancing reporting tools and dashboards, with a focus on Sage 200 data integrity
- Supporting year end processes, external audits, and statutory requirements
