I am supporting a Not-for-Profit in Wales to recruit a Head of Financial Management & Reporting. This role is for a 6-12 month contract paying up to £65,000 per annum, plus hybrid working and an attractive benefits package.
This Not-for-Profit has provided a service to Wales for over 150 years.
Head of Financial Management & Reporting:
- Support the delivery of the Financial Plan.
- Manage a team of up to 10 staff, 3 direct reports.
- Business partner with key, non-financial stakeholders.
- Provide strategic financial advice to Directors.
- Oversee the team that set and monitor budgets.
- Lead on delivery of efficiency savings ensuring that costs are minimised across all areas of service operations.
- Communicate and present analysis of financial information.
- Complete management reports.
- Produce and implement a robust monitoring system that measures performance against key targets and identifies material financial variances.
- Oversee and ensure the five-year budgets are prepared for consolidation.
- Construct, analyse and review business cases and option appraisals.
Head of Financial Management & Reporting:
- CCAB or equivalent qualified.
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing and leading a team.
- A track record of presenting to Executive Leadership teams.
- Ability to prepare, monitor and manage significant budgets.
- A track record of developing strategic plans and providing direction.
- Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
- Act as a positive ambassador and role model for the organisation in external situations.
- Strong presentation and report writing skills.
- An individual who understands the importance of meetings in person to influence negotiations and answer queries.
£57,000 – £65,000 per annum.
36.5 hours per week.
6-12 month fixed term contract.
27 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
