Our client is looking to develop a unified approach to Manufacturing Excellence reporting and global gap mapping activities while supporting Business Units with both opening and closing performance gaps. You will identify and share best practices across the Group. This international manufacturing organisation is based in Cambridgeshire and offers hybrid working. They are currently embarking on a number of exciting transformation projects. The role acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement by delivering analysis that strengthens operational decision making and drives measurable improvement opportunities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Be a Lead Member of the Manufacturing Excellence (Manex/ME) team, attend team meetings and reviews supporting the financial requirements of that team through evaluation, analysis and commentary.
- Assist with preparation of presentations.
- Be the Lead for ZBB, Gap Up and the other Gap Closure Processes.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual comparison reports, with analysis and identification of gaps and opportunities.
- Conduct monthly reviews with the ME and the Operational Management Teams.
- Coordinate financial tracking on all projects/activities that the ME Team are involved with and support the teams on delivering plans where appropriate.
- Play a lead role in business improvement decisions and provide direction, analysis, and support.
- Facilitate the use of Business Improvement Tools through coaching and training when required.
- Provide an independent review service to support the Manufacturing Excellence Team, to ensure robust processes and results.
- Review Manex plans with a forensic approach to promote clarity and understanding.
- Support the preparation of the annual budget, with targets and recommendations.
- Conduct site performance reviews on a monthly schedule.
- Lead out the ZBB process, educating the complex teams on the processes and driving the roll out of this methodology into all business areas.
- Interact with site Operational and Accounting teams in the development of trackers to support gap closure.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from the Manex Director and the ME Team.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of the Operational Excellence strategic plans.
You will be a Qualified Operational Accountant with experience in providing analysis to optimise operational decision making and business improvement opportunities. You will have experience of manufacturing environments and be able to alternate between high-level overviews and diligent low-level data preparation. Competitive package.
