As a Private Client Tax Manager, you will lead the delivery of personal tax services, managing a portfolio of clients with complex tax affairs while ensuring high standards of compliance and advisory support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a large and varied portfolio of private clients
- Reviewing complex private client tax returns and final tax packs
- Providing expert advice on personal tax planning matters
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular communication and proactive support
- Managing workflow planning to ensure deadlines and client expectations are met
- Delegating work effectively to junior team members and supporting their development
- Conducting technical research into complex tax issues and communicating findings clearly
- Monitoring WIP, billing, and job recoverability to support commercial performance
- Supporting business development activities including proposals, fee quotes, and client tenders
- Driving process improvements and embracing new technologies to improve efficiency and quality
- Assisting with wider team management responsibilities including coaching, appraisals, and performance support
This is a highly visible role offering the opportunity to contribute strategically to the growth and development of the private client tax offering.
The successful candidate will hold an accountancy and/or tax qualification such as ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, or CA, or will be qualified by experience.
