My Birmingham based client is a fast-paced, commercially driven organisation who are seeking to engage an Interim Procurement Finance Business Partner. This is a pivotal role sitting at the heart of Finance and Procurement, offering genuine influence over cost, cash, and strategic decision-making. My client is a UK-based production company that owns and manages a portfolio of well-known brands that are sold in the UK as well as continental Europe.
As Interim Procurement Finance Business Partner reporting into the Head Supply Chain Finance, you will act as the finance lead for the group procurement function - providing insight, challenge, and robust financial control. Duties will include:
- Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Own weekly and monthly procurement financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, insight, and action
- Design and continuously improve procurement reporting and KPIs
- Validate and track procurement savings
- Full ownership of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) reporting and forecasting
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Controls
- Lead the procurement budget and forecast process
- Maintain strong internal controls across procurement finance and inventory
- Sign off statutory submissions and key costing inputs
- Business Partnering & Decision Support
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior procurement stakeholders
- Provide scenario modelling, ROI and payback analysis
- Support supplier negotiations with data-led insights
- Drive adoption of Spend Cube and analytics tools
- Working Capital, Risk & Cash
- Focus on DIO and DPO optimisation
- Identify and mitigate commodity and procurement-related risks
The desirable candidate for the Interim Procurement Finance Business Partner application:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong background in procurement, supply chain, or operations finance
- Proven experience managing PPV, inventory, and commodity exposure
- Confident business partner able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders
- Commercial, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment
- Be available at short notice to start in Birmingham or Hertfordshire
Attractive Day Rate: 4 Days on-site in Birmingham or Hertfordshire / 1 day remote working.
