Are you a highly motivated and analytical graduate or early-career finance professional with a flair for Excel and a curiosity for understanding business performance? We\’re recruiting on behalf of an international trading banking client based in London, looking for a rising star to join their dynamic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.
The Opportunity:
This newly-created FP&A Analyst role offers excellent exposure to senior leadership in a global banking environment. You\’ll support financial reporting, budgeting, and decision-making processes in a small but evolving team, working closely with the FP&A Lead and CFO.
What You\’ll Do:
- Prepare weekly and monthly management accounts
- Support the annual budgeting cycle (September to December), contributing ideas and constructively challenging assumptions
- Manipulate and analyse data using Excel and Power BI
- Respond to data requests from senior stakeholders (e.g. customer numbers, interest, and FX analysis by region)
- Extract data from internal banking systems (e.g. T24 – experience not required)
- Work with pivot tables and spreadsheets for reporting
- Collaborate with different departments to provide financial insights
About You:
- Graduate or early-career professional with up to 1 year of finance-related experience
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables and formulas essential)
- Inquisitive, proactive, and eager to learn
- Comfortable in a lean, fast-paced team with limited structure
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage your own workload
- No current qualifications required – full support provided for professional exams
