We are currently seeking an experienced Transition Manager to drive go-live readiness, cutover coordination, and post-deployment sustainability for a major transformation programme within the financial services sector.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end transition from project delivery to business-as-usual (BAU), ensuring that all aspects of technical and business preparedness are tightly aligned. Your focus will be on business-side readiness, ensuring operational continuity and adoption of new systems.
What you will be doing:
1. Go-Live Readiness
- Define and manage the Go-Live Readiness Plan, aligning all programme workstreams.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Go-Live Checklist covering technical, business, and operational preparedness.
- Collaborate with the Build Project Manager and BI Project Manager to ensure all critical items—data, training, and business processes—are completed prior to go-live.
2. Cutover and Deployment
- Own and execute the cutover strategy, coordinating activities across technical and business teams.
- Align with the Build PM on technical deployment, data migration, and rollback contingencies.
3. Operational Readiness and Handover to BAU
- Ensure all operational teams (including IT support and customer service) are prepared to support the system post go-live.
- Define and manage the hypercare support model and the transition plan to BAU ownership.
- Oversee training delivery and effective knowledge transfer to BAU teams.
4. Post-Go-Live Monitoring and Sustainability
- Define measurable success criteria for system performance and business adoption.
- Establish a structured issue-triage and resolution process for early-stage refinements or defects.
- Ensure business and IT stakeholders have clear ownership of post-go-live operations and support.
What you will need to have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Transition Manager in a financial services environment.
- Proven track record of managing business readiness and complex cutover planning.
- Strong understanding of both business and technical change impacts.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
- Experience in defining and executing hypercare, BAU handover, and post-launch monitoring.
