We’re looking for a Strategic & Execution Planning Manager to work directly with our CEO and help shape, prioritise, and deliver the bank’s strategic agenda. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role for a commercially minded strategist who enjoys turning vision into action. You’ll support enterprise-level decision-making, lead strategic planning, and ensure CEO-sponsored initiatives actually get delivered — not just discussed.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Acting as a trusted thought partner to the CEO on growth, capital allocation, and market priorities
- Translating strategic direction into clear initiatives, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes
- Leading strategic planning and coordinating inputs across business and control functions
- Delivering rigorous strategic and financial analysis to support decisions on markets, products, partnerships, and investments
- Tracking and driving execution of key strategic and M&A initiatives across the organisation
- Preparing high-quality materials for the Board, Executive Committee, and key stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- 6–10 years’ experience in strategy, consulting, banking, corporate development, or strategic finance
- Strong understanding of banking economics, ideally within African or emerging markets
- Proven ability to influence at executive level and drive complex initiatives end-to-end
- Highly analytical, commercially astute, and execution-focused
- Comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving environment with ambiguity
- Excellent communication skills and sound professional judgement
Why this role:
You’ll work side-by-side with the CEO, have direct exposure to Board-level decision-making, and play a central role in shaping the bank’s growth across markets. If you’re a strategist who wants ownership, impact, and real execution responsibility — this role delivers.
