Duration: 6‑Month initial contract

Our well known banking client is seeking a Power BI & Data Modelling Specialist to design scalable datasets, build high-quality dashboards, and support the development of an AI‑ready BI environment. You’ll play a key role in strengthening data governance, performance, and integration with platforms like ServiceNow.

Requirements

  • Design and optimise Power BI data models, datasets, and semantic layers
  • Develop interactive dashboards and paginated reports
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using Power Query (M) and SQL
  • Write efficient DAX for KPIs and complex business logic
  • Manage Power BI Service (workspaces, refresh, performance, access)
  • Integrate Power BI with automation tools (e.g. Power Automate, ServiceNow)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into BI solutions
  • Document data lineage, models, and reporting logic
  • Support AI‑ready datasets and automation use cases

Key Skills

  • Must have worked within banking
  • Advanced SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions)
  • Dimensional modelling & data warehousing knowledge
  • Experience with ETL/data pipelines
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences

  • JIRA / Confluence
  • ServiceNow (GRC or related data structures)
