Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect / Solutions Architect Consultant to deliver architectural outputs for banking/financial services initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and document enterprise-wide architecture solutions aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Produce architecture artefacts including current and future state models, technology roadmaps, and integration strategies.
- Recommend and document technology platforms, integration approaches, and governance models.
- Present architectural options and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business and IT strategies.
- Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis for technology change initiatives.
- Ensure architecture designs comply with relevant regulations, security standards, and sector best practices, particularly within banking/finance.
- Provide independent review and assurance over internal solution designs and architectural direction.

- Location: Remote, with occasional travel to London
Required Expertise
- Enterprise architecture design and implementation within regulated financial services environments.
- Working with the Systems Integrator who provide the middleware, so capable of engaging with vendors.
- Deep understanding of modern IT infrastructure and platforms including cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, containerization, and APIs.
- Knowledge of enterprise frameworks such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, and associated methodologies.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and security considerations within the financial services domain.
- Extensive experience in Agile delivery environments, advising from an architectural perspective.
- Ability to engage independently with senior stakeholders and deliver concise architectural guidance.
