We’re currently looking for two experienced Disaster Recovery Specialists to join a high-performing Service Management & Controls function within a leading financial services organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in modernising disaster recovery and resilience capabilities in line with FCA Operational Resilience guidelines.
The Role
- You’ll act as a lead DR specialist within the Technology Operations Resiliency & Recovery Testing Programme, driving improvements across business‑critical services.
- Reviewing and modernising existing DR plans and documentation.
- Designing and executing end‑to‑end, scenario‑based resilience testing.
- Building repeatable, automated, and auditable testing frameworks.
- Defining critical business services and ensuring minimal viable state recovery.
- Collaborating with Operational Resilience, Risk, and Technology teams.
- AWS (core focus).
- Third‑party SaaS platforms supporting financial systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in Disaster Recovery & Resilience Testing across complex environments.
- Proven ability to design and implement DR plans aligned to FCA Operational Resilience requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with AWS resiliency tools.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms, Microsoft tools, and SaaS ecosystems.
- Background in financial services preferred (retail also considered).
You’ll be instrumental in shaping a modern, scalable, and compliant DR framework, helping ensure resilience across critical services in a cloud‑first environment.
