Contract Opportunity: Data Architect (Financial Services)

Location:
Southwest England (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)

Day Rate:
£600–£700 per day (Outside IR35)

Duration:
6 Months (with potential extension)

About the Role

We\’re seeking an experienced
Data Architect
to join a leading
financial services organisation
on a 6-month contract. This role will play a key part in shaping and delivering robust data solutions, collaborating closely with data engineers and the central data office to drive the company\’s data strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, high-quality
  data architecture
  solutions.
• Collaborate with
  data engineers
  , analysts, and stakeholders to define and implement technical designs.
• Develop and maintain
  data models
  , ensuring data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
• Provide pragmatic solutions that align with business goals and technical best practices.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of the organisation\’s
  data platforms and infrastructure
  .

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience as a
  Data Architect
  in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with
  data modelling tools
  (e.g.
  Erwin
  ).
• Hands-on experience with
  Snowflake
  (highly desirable).
• Good understanding of
  ETL processes
  – familiarity with tools such as
  Matillion
  ,
  Talend
  , or
  MuleSoft
  is advantageous.
• Broader experience with
  data warehouses
  and cloud-based architectures.
• Strong grasp of
  high-level data concepts
  and best practices.
• A
  pragmatic and collaborative
  approach to delivering results.
