We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing building services and compliance contractor for an experienced Water Services Manager to lead the delivery of water hygiene and treatment services across a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential sites. The Role:

As Water Services Manager, you will take full responsibility for the management and delivery of water hygiene services, ensuring all works are compliant, efficient, and delivered to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day delivery of water hygiene services including Legionella risk assessments, monitoring, sampling, and remedial works
  • Manage a team of engineers and subcontractors across multiple sites
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet service delivery targets and KPIs
  • Client & Contract Management:
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships
    • Provide technical guidance and support to clients on compliance and best practice
    • Attend client meetings and present service performance updates
  • Compliance & Quality:
    • Ensure full compliance with statutory regulations and company procedures
    • Oversee documentation, reporting, and audit readiness
    • Maintain accurate records of water hygiene activities and asset data
  • Commercial & Performance:
    • Monitor contract performance, budgets, and profitability
    • Identify additional works and business opportunities within existing contracts
    • Support pricing, quoting, and tender submissions where required

    About You:

    We are looking for a knowledgeable and proactive professional with strong leadership and technical expertise in water hygiene and treatment.

    Essential Experience & Skills:

    • Proven experience in water hygiene / water treatment management
    • Strong knowledge of Legionella control, ACoP L8, and HSG274
    • Experience managing teams, contracts, and service delivery
    • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
    • Full UK driving licence

    Desirable:

    • Relevant industry qualifications (e.g. City & Guilds / WMSoc)
    • Experience working within building services or compliance-focused environments
    • Knowledge of CAFM systems and digital reporting tools
