Fire door carpenter

Multi-Skilled Carpenter / Fire Door / Fire Stopper – Colchester, Essex Our client is a leading provider of maintenance and fire protection services, and are looking for an experienced and versatile Multi-Skilled Carpenter to join the team. This role involves working on a variety of exciting projects, including fire doors, fire stopping, and more, across multiple sectors like care homes, hospitals, MOD sites, council properties, and commercial buildings. Key Responsibilities: * Installation and maintenance of fire doors and fire stopping systems * Undertaking a range of carpentry tasks (within reason) * Managing and overseeing subcontractors on-site * Working independently and as part of a team * Communicating effectively with clients and site teams * Using the provided systems and devices to track and manage work * Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on schedule What We Need: * Skilled in carpentry with experience in fire doors and fire stopping * Ability to take control of tasks and manage subbies * Willingness to work locally and away from home on occasion * Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude (even when dealing with difficult people) * Presentable and able to maintain a professional appearance * Comfortable working on a range of challenging sites, from care homes to MOD locations Location: Various sites, with occasional stays away from home If you're a skilled carpenter with a good attitude and the ability to work independently while leading a team, we’d love to hear from you!
