The business is expanding its in‑house renewables capability and is now seeking a senior professional to take ownership of this area.
Role This is a senior, hands‑on position leading the delivery of renewable energy installations across a varied project portfolio. As Electrical & Renewables Manager, you will take responsibility for the full lifecycle of works — from early‑stage design and pricing, through installation and commissioning, to sign‑off and ongoing maintenance. The role will suit an experienced electrical professional with strong renewables exposure who is comfortable operating autonomously, building systems and processes, and acting as the technical lead within a growing business unit.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of renewable energy installations, acting as the technical and operational lead.
- Oversee system design, technical compliance and buildability.
- Prepare pricing, budgets and scopes of work for renewable projects.
- Manage installation works, including labour, subcontractors and materials.
- Ensure works are completed in line with relevant regulations and standards.
- Take responsibility for testing, commissioning and certification/sign‑off.
- Establish and oversee maintenance and aftercare procedures.
- Work closely with senior management to support the strategic growth of the renewables offering.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong background in electrical installation and management.
- Proven experience delivering renewable energy systems (e.g. solar PV, battery storage, EV infrastructure or similar).
- Confident managing projects from design through to completion and maintenance.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of compliance and certification requirements.
- Commercially aware, with experience pricing and planning works.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a specialist function.
