The Client is a well‑established and growing main contractor operating across the commercial, residential, education and public sectors. With a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality refurbishment, fit‑out and new build projects, the business continues to expand its delivery team to support a healthy pipeline of work across London and the South East.

The Role: As Contracts Manager you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to a high standard. Working closely with site teams, commercial staff and senior management, you will oversee projects from pre‑construction through to final handover, acting as a key point of contact for clients and consultants. This is a senior role suited to an experienced construction professional who is comfortable managing multiple sites and leading teams in a fast‑paced main contracting environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of multiple construction projects concurrently.
  • Lead and manage Site Managers, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to agreed quality standards.
  • Monitor programme, resourcing and progress across all live projects.
  • Manage client relationships and attend regular progress meetings.
  • Work closely with commercial teams to control costs, variations and profitability.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Contribute to pre‑construction planning and programme development where required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within a main contracting environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across refurbishment, fit‑out and new build projects.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.

Salary & Package:

£60,000 - £70,000 per annum. Attractive package including company vehicle or allowance, pension and benefits. Long‑term role within a stable and growing contractor. Opportunity to work on a varied and interesting portfolio of projects.
