Are you an experienced CDM and Health & Safety professional looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a respected multidisciplinary consultancy, is seeking a talented Associate / Principal (CDM / H&S) to join their growing team in London.
The Opportunity
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering and developing CDM advisory, Principal Designer, and Health & Safety consultancy services across a wide range of projects — from high-profile commercial schemes to complex infrastructure and mixed-use developments.
As a senior member of the team, you’ll provide strategic and technical leadership, support business growth, and ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of CDM advisory and Health & Safety consultancy services across multiple sectors.
- Act as Principal Designer / Principal Designer Advisor, ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.
- Manage, mentor, and develop junior staff to support team growth.
- Work closely with clients, project managers, and design teams to influence design safety.
- Support business development, bid writing, and client relationship management.
- Undertake audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, promoting continual improvement.
About You
- Proven experience delivering CDM and Health & Safety consultancy services, ideally within a design or multidisciplinary environment.
- Excellent understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant health & safety legislation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- Relevant professional qualifications: NEBOSH Construction / Diploma, IMaPS / CMaPS, TechIOSH / CMIOSH, or equivalent.
- Commercially aware with the drive to help shape and grow the service offering.
