Overview
With a purpose-built factory and a reputation as a market leader in their field, our client specialises in bespoke products for a wide range of industries.
We are currently recruiting for Sheet Metal Workers to join a growing manufacturing organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging and rewarding projects within a clean and modern environment.
The company is based in Huddersfield, offering easy access from surrounding towns and cities, such as Wakefield, Bradford, Leeds, Dewsbury and Batley.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Mark out, cut and fold stainless steel and other flat materials.
- Fabricate parts and components.
- Ensure that welding is completed to highest standards.
- Work alongside engineering team to meet targets and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and contribute to continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a sheet metal worker/ fabricator
- Ability to read from engineering drawings.
- Comfortable and experienced working with stainless steel.
- Ability to work within a team, but also independently when required.
Working hours
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00-16:00
- Friday: 07:00-11:45
In Return, the Sheet Metal Worker Will Receive
- Hourly Rate: Β£16-Β£19 per hour (Dependant on Experience)
- Early finish on a Friday
- Regular overtime paid at premium (time and a half)
- 24 days holiday per annum (increasing with length in service)
- Company pension scheme. (employer 5%, employee 3%)
