The Role
E3P are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate to join our successful Geoenvironmental Division. This is an exciting opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is keen to develop their technical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Graduate Geoenvironmental Consultant, you will work alongside experienced Chartered professionals who will provide guidance, mentoring, and structured development to help you build your knowledge and confidence. We are looking for someone who is curious, eager to learn, and ready to apply their academic knowledge to real-world projects.
The role will involve a combination of office and site-based work, supporting the delivery of development schemes across the UK for a range of public and private sector clients. You will gain hands-on experience in ground investigations, environmental sampling, data collection, technical report preparation, environmental risk assessment, and remediation support.

Key Responsibilities
- To support existing environment and remediation teams in undertaking both office-based and site-based work – site work is likely to be a significant proportion;
- Site investigation sampling/field manager/supervision of contractors – to undertake field-based work including supervision and management of site investigations including third-party contractors – preparation of accurate site records;
- To gain experience of site investigation techniques both for contaminated land, hydrogeological, and geotechnical investigations;
- Remediation projects – to assist in option appraisals and design of remediation projects, with subsequent supervision of remediation works on site;
- To develop client and third-party liaison skills as well as technical skills for project manager or technical specialist;
- To undertake defined technical tasks within existing and new projects to produce deliverables on time to the required quality and to budget;
- Be familiar with current environmental legislation in particular related to groundwater, surface water, and contaminated land;
- To undertake interpretative technical reporting and analysis of results from investigations and remediation projects – attention to detail and accuracy is required to work well within a team environment.
You & Your Experience
- None, however, previous relevant experience is desirable.
- BSc qualified (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science or similar.
- Full clean UK driving licence (Manual), valid passport, and right to work in the UK required.
- Accept and deal with responsibility for project delivery and client liaison.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Flexible, enthusiastic, strong teamwork skills, commercial awareness, and self-confidence are crucial.
- Able and willing to work and stay away from base office, potentially for extended periods.
- Self-starter, happy to work outdoors, beneficial to live in close proximity to the Manchester office (half-hour commute) or be happy to relocate.
- Must demonstrate a genuine interest in developing a career in the contaminated land sector.
