Employing over 100 people across multiple sites, this UK-leading manufacturer specialises in high-quality, bespoke products, supplying several different sectors. Due to organic growth, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Welder to join this well-established manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities of the Lead Welder:
- Lead, motivate, and support the team on the shop floor.
- Promote strong Health & Safety standards and ensure compliance.
- Manage schedules to keep production running smoothly.
- Track KPIs, complete daily checks, and drive improvements.
- Communicate key updates, manage absences, and support performance.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and apply Lean/5S practices.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experienced and comfortable working on the tools as a Welder Fabricator.
- Previous experience working within similar roles, such as welding supervisor, Welding Team Leader and Experienced Fabricators.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S standards.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office for planning, reporting and operations.
Working hours:
- Monday- Thursday (06:00-15:00)
- Friday (06:00-11:00)
In Return, the Lead Welder will receive:
- Basic Salary: Β£39,000.
- Early finish on a Friday.
- Overtime paid at premium.
- 25 days holiday + bank holiday.
- Production bonus paid quarterly.
