This employer is based in Wakefield, just a few minutes from the M1, meaning the successful Mechanical Fitter can easily commute from surrounding towns and cities, such as Leeds, Huddersfield, Castleford, Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Rotherham, Halifax and Dewsbury.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter include:
Working as part of a Skilled Engineering team, tasked with the accurate building of bespoke Automated Machinery
Reading, interpreting and working directly from engineering drawings to ensure that machines are built in-line with specifications
Building, assembling & installing a vast range of technologies onto bespoke automated machinery, including sub-assemblies, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, conveyors, grabbers and many more
Occasionally travelling to customer facilities to install, commission, service and/or repair machinery - nationally and internationally (business class flights on long-haul journeys). Customers are based on most continents all across the world (Mexico, Dubai & Vietnam are real examples)
Working Hours of the Mechanical Fitter:
37.5 Hours per week, spread across a regular day shift:
Monday to Thursday - 08:00 to 16:30
Friday - 08:00 to 15:15 xgikmsk
Overtime is frequently available midweek (2 hours per day) and Saturdays & Sundays (6 hours per day)
Details of the Mechanical Fitter position:
Starting Salary: £33,735.00 (£17.30 per hour) - rising with continued service and skill development
Achievable Earnings: £47,229.00 - easily achievable with 2 hours of overtime Monday to Friday (£50K+ easily achievable with weekend overtime and enhanced rates & hours when working at customer facilities)
Holiday Allowance: 33 Days (25 days + public holidays)
