Operating out of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, they currently employ over 120 people and produce bespoke high-end products for use in a variety of industries and types of facilities.
This employer is based in LEEDS, meaning that the successful Purchasing Assistant will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns and cities including Bradford, Dewsbury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Castleford, Pontefract, Bingley and Keighley.
Key Responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant will include:
- Assist in the purchasing of materials for the manufacturing and assembly of goods
- Support in progressing orders with items ordered from UK and overseas suppliers
- Produce weekly updates on delivery and forecasts
- Ensure ERP systems are up-to-date with regards to expected delivery dates and accurate pricing
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new suppliers
For the Purchasing Assistant, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:
- Recent graduation with a BSc in Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain or similar
- Experience as a Purchasing Assistant or similar
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Ability and willingness to learn
Salary and benefits:
- Up to £25,000 (depending on experience)
- Flexible working hours (37.5 Hours per week)
- Monday to Thursday – 08:15am to 17:00pm
- Friday – 08:15am to 12:45pm
- 33 days Annual Leave including Bank Holidays
- 8% Combined Pension
