This employer is a critical supplier to the Power Generation sector and offers a range of services, including machine overhaul and heavy component manufacturing. Because of an increasing workload, this employer is actively looking to recruit a CNC Production Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. Key Areas of Responsibility for the CNC Production Engineer: Offline Programming - Creating brand new & bespoke programs for large machines (Machining Centres & Horizontal Borers up to 5 axis) using Siemens NX. This will include new component manufacturing and component refurbishment New Product Introduction - Tooling acquisition, machining method planning, work routing (when required) and any other associated functions, in an attempt to achieve maximum efficiency levels Production & Manufacturing - Fixture & work-holding design, cycle time improvement, supporting machinists throughout the process/project and quality focused tasks Customer Liaison - Successful candidate will be introduced to the customer once the project has been approved.
