A leading, fast-growing engineering innovator with a global reputation—supporting critical sectors such as Defence, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas—is currently seeking a PMO Planner/Scheduler to strengthen their delivery team. Based in Huddersfield, with excellent links to the M62 corridor, the site is easily accessible from Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Wakefield, Rochdale, Halifax, and surrounding areas.
This is a newly created role due to an exciting pipeline of major project wins and long-term strategic partnerships. It offers a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal point of growth and transformation.
Role Snapshot:
As a PMO Planner/Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in supporting project delivery by developing, maintaining, and optimising complex schedules using advanced Microsoft Project tools. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless planning and execution across a portfolio of high-value engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Project Managers and stakeholders to create and manage project schedules in MS Project
- Monitor progress, update timelines, and analyse impacts on project delivery
- Integrate schedules across multiple workstreams and departments
- Maintain scheduling governance, ensure alignment with project baselines and milestones
- Report on schedule performance and recommend corrective actions when required
You’ll need:
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project – Essential
- Proven experience in a PMO Planner, Scheduler, or Project Controls role
- Background in engineering, technical, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex schedules
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement
