Are you an experienced NPD Technologist who enjoys creating innovative food products and seeing new concepts come to life? We have an excellent opportunity to become a key part of a collaborative product development team where you'll be developing new, innovative products for some of the UK's biggest retailers.
About the Role:
This is a hands on NPD Technologist role where you'll be working with customers and internal teams to develop exciting, commercially viable concepts. Reporting to the Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing new recipes and improving existing products in line with customer briefs, market trends and commercial objectives.
- Carrying out feasibility studies, kitchen trials and product evaluations and producing customer samples.
- Managing NPD projects through the early product development stages, ensuring costings and documentation are completed accurately.
- Working closely with Technical, Packaging, Procurement, and Process teams to ensure products are ready to be successfully scaled up.
- Mentoring and supporting a junior Technologist.
About You:
- Experience as an NPD Technologist in food manufacturing, ideally qualified to degree level in Food Science or similar.
- Worked with major UK retailers, with a good understanding of customer expectations and commercial requirements.
