CNC Turner vacancy available with a fast‐growing, excitingly evolving sub‐contract machining company that offers competitive annual salaries, 33 holidays, frequent overtime and the chance to work on high‐end projects for various industries, including Military Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Medical Devices and Renewable Energy.

About the Role

Following a recent change to their organizational structure, this employer is now experiencing an increased workload. To cope with this and maintain their service levels, this employer is actively searching for a fully skilled CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program CNC lathes from scratch, using any machine control or CAD/CAM software.
  • Work independently from engineering drawings to complete turning operations.

Qualifications

  • Formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or Machining (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND or equivalent) – IDEAL, not essential.
  • Skilled machinist with the ability to program CNC lathes from scratch.
  • Ability to work independently and directly from engineering drawings to complete turning operations.

Working Hours

40 hours per week spread across a day shift pattern. Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 15:00. Friday 07:00 to 12:00.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary: up to ÂŁ36,192.00 (ÂŁ17.40 per hour).
  • Overtime frequently available.
  • Holiday allowance: 33 days including bank holidays.
  • Statutory pension scheme.
  • Company bonus scheme.
