About the Role:
Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be leading an Assistant Quality Manager and a team of QAs responsible for driving food safety and quality standards across the site. You will be involved in shaping quality strategy, using data and trends to identify risks, and driving standards.
- Ensuring all products are produced safely and in line with customer specifications.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to embed a strong quality culture.
- Leading site retail and BRC audits, hosting customer visits, and maintaining strong relationships with retailers.
- Maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System.
- Supporting and developing the quality team through effective leadership and coaching.
About You:
- Ideally educated to degree level in Food Science or similar, or with equivalent experience.
- Experience of leading quality teams in a chilled/high-care food manufacturing environment.
- Proactive approach to food safety, and able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Demonstrable knowledge of BRC and retailer codes of practice.
- HACCP Level 3 or above and Advanced Food Hygiene.
