An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Hydraulic Engineer or Plant Fitter to join a well-established specialist engineering business providing servicing, repair and installation of lorry-loader cranes and vehicle-mounted lifting equipment. The company are looking to invest in training and qualifications to train the right person into a fully skilled HGV Lorry Loader Engineer. The training would involve gaining ALLMI and LOLER qualifications. Duties of the Hydraulic Engineer (Once fully trained): Servicing, maintaining and repairing lorry-loader and truck-mounted lifting equipment Diagnosing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical faults. Working on pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses and hydraulic control systems. Fault-finding on 24V electrical, CAN bus and electronic control systems. Carrying out planned servicing and reactive breakdown repairs. Installing, wiring, testing and commissioning new systems. Completing inspections, testing and LOLER-related work where qualified. Mechanical repairs, component replacement and occasional fabrication/welding. Providing technical support and equipment handovers to customers. Field based and workshop-based role.
