Are you a Chemistry graduate or laboratory professional looking for an opportunity to play a key role in chemical product innovation? This is your chance to join a growing technical team where your work will directly contribute to the development of new products from concept through to commercialisation.

You'll enjoy a stable Monday to Friday schedule, exposure to a wide variety of laboratory and product development projects, and the opportunity to develop your technical expertise within a chemical manufacturing environment.

The Opportunity

You will support the delivery of innovative new products by carrying out laboratory testing, analysing results and providing technical input to research and development projects. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with Technical, Manufacturing, Quality and Commercial teams, helping to generate reliable data that drives product development and continuous improvement. No two days are likely to be the same. One day you could be preparing formulations and conducting laboratory trials, while the next you could be analysing results, writing reports and contributing to project discussions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out laboratory testing, experiments and product evaluations
  • Preparing formulations, samples and test materials
  • Analysing experimental data and producing clear technical reports
  • Supporting innovation and product development projects from concept to completion
  • Providing technical recommendations based on laboratory findings
  • Working with cross-functional teams to support project delivery
  • Assisting with product scale-up, validation activities and process improvements
  • Supporting the continuous development of laboratory methods and procedures

What You'll Bring

Your new employer will value:

  • A degree in Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline
  • Laboratory testing experience and strong experimental skills
  • The ability to analyse technical data and communicate findings clearly
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving

Experience within product development, chemical formulation, chemical manufacturing, ISO quality systems or Design of Experiments (DoE) would be advantageous but is not essential.

Why Apply?

  • Salary of £25,000 - £31,500
  • Permanent position with a well-established manufacturer
  • Monday to Friday working hours
  • Opportunity to support genuine innovation projects
  • Exposure to product development from concept through to launch
  • Collaborative and supportive technical environment
  • Excellent opportunity for career development within R&D and product innovation

If you're a Chemistry graduate, Laboratory Technician, Chemist, R&D Chemist, Development Chemist or Product Development Chemist looking for an opportunity to get involved in hands-on laboratory work and innovation projects, this role could be the perfect next step. You'll have the chance to apply your scientific knowledge in a practical manufacturing environment, supporting the development of new products, conducting laboratory testing and working closely with experienced technical professionals to bring ideas from concept through to commercialisation.
