Previous food experience isn't required and we’re looking for electrical and mechanical engineers to join a high-performing maintenance team. The site is easily commutable from Doncaster, Pontefract and Goole.
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (1530 - 1430, 1430 - 2330)
About the Role: Based at a large, fast-paced food manufacturing business, you will be part of a multiskilled engineering team responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across the site. Reporting to the Maintenance & Reliability Manager, your key responsibilities include:
- Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and disruptions to production.
- Ensuring all planned maintenance is carried out to a high standard.
- Proactively looking for long-term engineering solutions to recurring issues, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
- Getting involved in upgrade and installation projects.
About You: You’ll need to be apprentice trained (or have equivalent experience) and hold NVQ Level 3 or above in mechanical or electrical engineering. Our client is open on industry background, but you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Experience of working in an engineering maintenance role.
- A proactive, inquisitive approach to engineering along with a methodical approach to resolving problems.
- Keen to learn and develop new skills.
- A team player, willing to share your knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
- PLC fault-finding skills (for electrically biased engineers).
- Experience of using Pirana or similar CMMS.
