How we test at e2y: Test Automation Engineers create technical solutions to improve test process efficiency and assess the quality of everything we deliver. They do it with smart and sapient use of data and automation - always focusing on the customer. It's important that our Test Automation Engineers are able to apply prior technical experience and techniques to develop test frameworks and automated tests and enable continuous delivery. The role will require working as part of a delivery team and as such diplomacy, presentation and workshop delivery skills are essential.
About You: You are passionate about delivering software that exceeds expectations. You have knowledge of specific tools and approaches that maximise effective and efficient delivery without compromising on quality. You have hands-on experience designing and implementing automation, the ability to engage with developers in order to clearly communicate issues, solve problems and ensure testing standards are met. Having a team approach is important to us, and we want new members to share this ethos. We use an Agile process and aren’t afraid to adapt and change to fit what works best for us as a team. We encourage innovation in our approach to problem-solving, whether that is the use of technology to create a bespoke test framework or introducing a new pragmatic way of working that improves efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Use data and work with customers to evaluate the quality of our solutions.
- Analyse user stories and help write acceptance criteria.
- Refine and automate scenarios following BDD methodology and developed with NodeJS libraries like WebdriverIO, Cucumber-js, etc. with Typescript flavour.
- Elaborate testing strategies based on the acceptance criteria for the new features implemented and report any bugs/issues detected during test execution.
- Coach the delivery team towards a mature testing culture.
