A well-known Immigration firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Administrative Assistant to support our immigration and compliance operations. The role involves assisting with the preparation, coordination, and documentation of immigration processes for international employees and candidates. This position is vital in ensuring all immigration-related tasks are managed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and compiling a variety of visa and immigration application documents.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all immigration cases and documentation, including passports, visas, BRPs, right to work check, certificates of sponsorship, etc.
- Track visa expiry dates and assist in timely renewals/extensions.
- Support the Immigration team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document organisation.
- Liaise with clients, employers and employees to collect required documents and information.
- Communicate with legal representatives and government authorities (e.g. UKVI) as required.
- Ensure compliance with immigration laws, policies, and company standards.
- Generate and send letters, contracts, and compliance documentation as directed.
- Assist in scheduling appointments for visa applications, biometrics and ID verification processes.
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role, preferably with exposure to immigration or legal processes.
- Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Knowledge of UK immigration processes (e.g. Skilled Worker visas, CoS, sponsorship) is a strong advantage.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
- Previous experience working in a legal firm, or international organisation dealing with immigration.
- Experience working with international/multi-nationality clients and candidates.
