Location: West Midlands, United Kingdom

Purpose

To manage customer accounts and expectations by leading communication with customers and delivering new products that are innovative, of the highest quality, and market‑leading. To support the NPD controller in striving to improve the service continuously and to help ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards within agreed critical path timelines and commercial parameters set by both internal departments and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive consumer‑led product development projects from concept through to launch.
  • Lead projects and communicate clearly and effectively across cross‑functional teams.
  • Manage critical paths efficiently to successfully launch the product.
  • Maintain company quality standards, ensuring compliance with local standards, policies, safety requirements, and applicable country laws.
  • Acquire and benchmark new ingredients and materials, keep up to date with new ingredients and packaging formats, and monitor new ingredients and materials requested to ensure NPD and technical procedures are followed correctly.
  • Research and brainstorm new product concepts and ideas professionally with customers and conduct sensory analysis and product benchmarking.
  • Develop strong internal and external relationships, including specialist contacts, to achieve positive business outcomes.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend change against functional strategy/plans, ensuring completion of the project/task within specified targets.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Industry recognised food technical qualification – HND/Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of project management and product development experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of product development of sauces (must have) and Japanese Sauces (strong preference).
  • Experience in managing a team or coaching junior colleagues (preference).
