E1 is one of London’s most renowned electronic music venues and event spaces.

We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented Office Manager & Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day running of the business.

The Role

This is a finance-led role with office management responsibilities, ideal for someone confident in taking ownership of bookkeeping processes while ensuring the office operates efficiently.

You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow management, and keeping internal operations running smoothly.

You’ll work closely with senior management and external accountants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including purchase and sales ledger
  • Process invoices, expenses, and supplier payments accurately and on time
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure financial records are up to date
  • Assist with payroll preparation and liaise with external accountants
  • Support monthly reporting, budget tracking, and cash flow visibility
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial documentation
  • Office Management & Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including supplies and facilities, deliveries acceptance
  • Maintain organised filing systems and internal records
  • Act as a key point of contact for staff, suppliers, and visitors
  • Support event teams with administrative coordination where required
  • Identify and implement improvements to office systems and processes
  • Team Support
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and finance teams
  • Support internal communication and coordination
  • Assist with general administrative tasks and ad hoc projects

Essential

  • Strong bookkeeping experience (minimum 3 years) - This is critical
  • AAT Level 3 (or higher), or equivalent accounting knowledge
  • Experience using accounting software (e. g. Xero, Quick Books)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes
  • Confident with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience in events, hospitality, or creative industries
  • Experience in a nightclub, late bar, or live events venue
  • Experience supporting finance in a small or growing business
  • Salary & Benefits
