E1 Partners is recruiting for an Energy Risk Manager on behalf of a well-established and leading B2B energy supplier.
As a senior member of the non-commodity team, you’ll play a key role in developing team capabilities, managing essential functions, and providing critical insights into the electricity and gas markets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage analytical tools and models to enhance the efficiency of the commercial team.
- Provide detailed market analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with account managers on large deals, offering expert commercial insights.
- Review, update, and input non-commodity price elements for pricing, billing, and reconciliations.
- Act as a key liaison between regulatory and compliance teams, ensuring industry changes are understood and incorporated into processes.
- Continuously assess and improve pricing models to ensure accuracy and scalability.
- Evaluate commercial risk at both portfolio and deal-specific levels.
- Create and share industry insights to keep teams informed of market trends.
- Analyze large data sets to produce relevant, actionable reports.
- Mentor and train team members, fostering a culture of development and excellence.
- Handle administrative tasks, including data entry and validation.
- Support ad hoc projects as required by management.
Experience required:
- Proven experience in the energy sector or transferable roles with strong analytical and pricing components.
- Deep understanding of electricity and/or gas non-commodity pricing elements.
