Senior Software Engineer – C#/VueJS – £50k-£60k
We're working with a growing energy tech business based in the North West on a Senior Software Engineer hire.
About the role:
You'll design and build software for their SaaS product, working independently with strong ownership across design, development, and delivery. You'll apply solid engineering principles, work within a cross-functional team, and help shape the product's technical direction.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing and building microservices, producing clear technical designs that guide development
- Writing clean, tested, and maintainable code, with strong design principles (separation of concerns, consistent structure)
- Shaping REST APIs and BFFs alongside the wider dev team
- Working across SQL and NoSQL data stores
- Participating in planning and estimation with product and delivery teams
- Contributing to peer reviews and supporting the growth of other developers
- Improving engineering practices and CI/CD pipeline stability
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years' experience in C# and VueJS
- Strong knowledge of Azure services — Cosmos DB, AKS, Event Hubs, Service Bus, Blob Storage
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL data platforms
- Solid understanding of microservice design and distributed systems
- Comfortable working independently in an agile environment
- Calm under pressure, high ownership, strong problem-solving mindset
