We're hiring a Senior Business Analyst to own product changes on this platform, from discovery through to production adoption, reporting to the Product Manager for Trading and Commercial. This is a live, fast‑evolving platform — the role covers both improving what's live and building new capability.
What you'll do
- Take features from early idea through to production, working with the Product Manager, Product Owner, UX and developers.
- Run lightweight discovery — stakeholder interviews, data analysis, early prototyping — so build decisions are evidence‑based.
- Own the health of the backlog, prioritising on evidenced business value rather than accumulated requests.
- Break epics into clear, deliverable stories, and write acceptance criteria, business rules and process flows precise enough to build from.
- Surface dependencies, technical risk and scope creep early, so the team can act before delivery is affected.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal users, translating between commercial and technical conversations.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst, including hands‑on experience in an agile product team (Scrum, Kanban or similar).
- Startup or scale‑up experience — ideally fintech, clean tech or another fast‑scaling, tech‑enabled sector — comfortable working through ambiguity and limited resource.
- Strong product discovery, stakeholder management and impact/risk analysis skills.
- Confidence writing story maps, process flows, acceptance criteria and business rules.
- Fluent in Jira and Confluence, or close equivalents.
- Energy market knowledge is a bonus, not essential — the ability to learn fast matters more.
