Social network you want to login/join with: Co-ordination of activity and the provision of support within the Power Operations team to ensure that bilateral counterparty trades, cleared exchange volumes, and cross-border capacities are acquired/nominated to the European TSOs, aligning with the Trading Desks\’ strategy to maximize profit and meet operational deadlines and market rules, minimizing negative impacts (financial and regulatory). Assuming responsibility for defined activities or one-off projects as specified by Power Operations management. Main responsibilities In addition to being fully competent with the tasks associated with Power Operations shifts (ideally with exposure to OSG activity/SCF), the Power Operations supervisor will have the following responsibilities: Coordinating the Day-to-Day shift activity. Troubleshooting operational issues encountered during daily activities. Providing on-call support and remote login assistance if necessary to resolve issues. Maintaining all aspects related to the shift, including ongoing review and update of tools and processes to ensure the platform remains best in class. Resolving complex imbalance queries with counterparts/PX or TSOs regularly. Training new team members in the general (non-shift specific) use of systems such as Spark, Power Logistics/PowerHub, SGEP, and Trade Capture. Coordinating known β€˜events’ and market/activity changes. Planning and implementing assigned one-off projects. First-line management, planning, and participation in performance monitoring processes. Performing any other duties as directed by the manager. Technical requirements Understanding of the electrical transmission system and interconnections between European grids. In-depth knowledge of how Joule, Spark, SGEP, PowerHub, and Power Logistics interact, and the trade lifecycle. Understanding of nomination logic, communication formats, and troubleshooting nomination issues from source (XML) to sink (TSO platform). Comfort with all external/internal IT systems used for nominations, capacities, and exchanges, focusing on France and neighboring countries. Knowledge of EDF\’s historical Long-Term contracts. Proficiency in at least one other European language (French is a distinct advantage). Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Experience with VBA or other programming skills is advantageous. Person specification Decisive with the ability to use initiative to resolve operational problems. Ability to work under pressure. Strong attention to detail. Tactful communication with external companies. Strong organizational and numerical skills. Motivated to succeed and work diligently. Team player with integrity. Hours of work: 40 hours per week.
