We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Passenger Assistant to join our healthcare transportation team based in Redhill.

This role involves transporting children with Special Educational and Disability Needs (SEND) to and from healthcare or educational facilities. It\’s a rewarding yet challenging opportunity where you can quickly become a valuable member of our team.
The position entails working Monday to Friday during term time only. Shifts are split between 06:00-09:00 and 15:00-18:00 (shift times are examples and may vary based on travel time), totaling 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist children with special educational needs during transport to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Support children in boarding and alighting from the vehicle, providing physical assistance as needed.
- Maintain a calm and positive environment during transport, addressing behavioural or emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school staff regarding transportation arrangements.
- Follow all safety protocols, including seat belt use and appropriate seating.
- Be familiar with safeguarding policies.
- Report incidents or concerns promptly to your line Manager/Operations Manager.
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness.
