Applications Analyst

The role is to provide testing, configuration, and support for our business applications. It includes supporting system issues, designing and implementing solutions with our applications (workflows, app configuration), and testing software releases across the application estate.

Main Accountabilities

1. Serve as the technical lead for key business applications, acting as the primary contact for the business and liaising with suppliers.
2. Design new solutions and configure applications to meet stakeholder requirements.
3. Assist lenders in testing solutions that integrate with applications.
4. Support business applications in use at Quest, SurveyHub, SurveyBooker, Sunrise, etc., troubleshooting issues and liaising with suppliers for workarounds and resolutions.
5. Create and execute test plans for applications like Quest and SurveyHub.
6. Share responsibility for operating the Change Management process, ensuring stakeholders follow the correct procedures.
7. Adhere to the Request For Change process for all application and workflow modifications.
8. Keep the support ticketing system updated at all times.
9. Notify the line manager of any concerns regarding conflicting duties or responsibilities.
10. Operate within the policies, standards, and processes of the information security management system aligned with ISO27001.
11. Follow all policies and operating procedures of the IT department.
12. Be an active team member.

Knowledge and Expertise

1. Extensive experience supporting critical business applications in a similar role.
2. Experience supporting integrated business applications.
3. Demonstrable knowledge of creating and executing test plans.
4. Experience designing solutions and configuring applications to meet stakeholder needs.
5. Understanding of Change Management processes.

Qualifications

1. ITIL v2 or v3 Foundation certification (desirable).
2. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
3. Knowledge of software development processes (desirable).
