Leading Hedge Fund provider revolutionising the industry is seeking a Mid-level Python engineer (1-2 years experience) to learn about the Hedge Fund industry and hone their programming skills. Hedge Fund (or even financial) experience isn’t a prerequisite; you would be hired on the strength of your Front End (including Vue.JS) programming skills.
It would be helpful if you were interested in tried and tested Agile (XP) and Product techniques and also understand the benefits (and limitations) of techniques such as TDD, BDD, pair/mob programming. You employ CI/CD (with automated tests and type and linting checks) by default and are an advocate for automated testing, pragmatically balancing quality and delivery.
Responsibilities include:
- Hands-on programming (Vue.JS)
- Writing and deploying high-quality TypeScript and Vue code
- Helping to design new features to make life easier for your team and the wider company
This is an Associate level role (1-2 years' commercial experience) and we need someone who is smart, who can grasp complex issues (and who relishes in finding their solutions) so that my client can invest in you and your career is nurtured and you can move up through the organisation.
Tech stack includes: Vue.js (which we would like you to have some experience in) along with Nuxt, TypeScript, Vuetify, Tailwind, Vitest, Playwright, and AWS services such as DynamoDB, Lambda and CloudWatch - experience with these technologies or alternatives would be helpful, but aren’t essential. However, if you only have HTML and no Vue.js then we can’t consider you.
Ideally, you will have used techniques such as TDD, BDD, pair/mob programming and CI/CD with automated tests and linting. It’s a super healthy working culture where no one is overly managed and people are given lots of freedom and flexibility.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from anyone with the right skills and we fully embrace diversity. If you need a visa application now or in the future we can’t help you as we cannot make applications.
