An Search Engine Optimisation Executive is required by a well-established digital marketing agency based in Essex, working with a varied portfolio of SME clients across multiple industries. This is a great opportunity for an SEO Executive who wants to work in a hands-on agency role, delivering measurable growth through modern, best-practice SEO.
Please note: This is a hybrid role with office-based work Monday–Thursday and remote on Fridays. It is not a fully remote position.
The Opportunity:
- You’ll join a growing SEO team within a fast-moving digital agency environment.
- The role is execution-focused but strategic, giving you exposure to technical SEO, content optimisation, and authority building across multiple client campaigns.
- You’ll be trusted to take ownership of workstreams, communicate confidently with clients, and contribute to long-term organic growth strategies.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Executing SEO strategies aligned to client goals and campaign plans.
- Carrying out technical SEO audits (crawlability, site speed, mobile usability, indexation).
- Conducting keyword research to identify growth opportunities.
- Optimising on-page elements including metadata, headers, internal linking, and content.
- Supporting off-page SEO activity and authority-building initiatives.
- Analysing performance data and reporting on traffic, rankings, and conversions.
- Identifying competitor gaps and organic growth opportunities.
- Communicating progress, insights, and next steps clearly to clients.
- Using industry tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Screaming Frog, SEMrush / SE Ranking, and similar platforms.
- Staying up to date with algorithm changes and SEO best practice.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years’ experience in SEO.
- Current or recent experience working at a UK digital marketing agency.
- Confident managing multiple SEO campaigns simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of technical and on-page SEO.
- Comfortable reporting on work completed and explaining outcomes.
- Clear communicator with a proactive mindset.
